Senior Investigator

Green spent 35 years with the Carmel, Indiana Police Department. He started as a Patrol Officer and worked his way up through the ranks as a Supervisor, Assistant Police Chief, and finally as the Police Chief. As Police Chief, Green led 150 sworn police and civilian employees providing public safety services to over 90,000 residents, local businesses, and visitors in the community. He was responsible for the leadership, planning and direction of the entire department including Uniformed Police Patrol Services, Criminal Investigations, Drug and Narcotics Investigations, Carmel Clay School Resource Officer Services, Community Outreach Services, Community Special Events and Personnel Human Resource oversight.

Green’s position required him to effectively communicate with a variety of individuals and organizations. He worked with the Mayor and Council Members of Carmel, City Department Leaders, Community Citizens, Business Organizations, Area State, Federal and Local Law Enforcement Agencies and others on Police and Public Safety matters.

He worked as a Detective Supervisor with a Local/State/Federal multi-agency Drug Task Force performing large scale drug investigations in Central Indiana and coordinated and commanded other special investigative services including dignitary protection, intelligence, and task force operations. Green was honored as Police Officer of the Year in 1986 and received the Medal of Valor in 1980.

Green received his BS in Law Enforcement Management from Calumet College of St. Joseph. He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy Session 184. He has also earned an FBI LEEDA Graduation Certificate in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership and IACP/Police Executive Leadership Association Certificate in Law Enforcement Executive Leadership.
